New York Life allows me to offer families and businesses a better tomorrow by focusing on business planning, employee benefits as well as individual planning. While mentoring other agents in our Worksite Benefits plan, I provide many benefit solutions to local companies, to include the Hampton Roads region of the VA State Benefits Plan, which New York Life is a participant. I work with both large and small companies by developing strategies for certain types of Key Employee policies, Buy-Sell arrangements, Executive Bonus and Discretionary plans.
To further my practice, the New York Life infrastructure helps me to provide dedicated support through our Advanced Planning Group, many of whom are credentialed in law, taxation, accounting, insurance, and finance. This is a completely free service to our clients.
Before joining New York Life, I served as a Naval Flight Officer and Program Manager in the U.S. Navy. My successful 27 years was spent managing multi-million-dollar programs and writing policy in support of our Submarine Forces, US Strategic Command and others, while also being responsible for Fleet IT and combat systems accreditation and certification. During my service I earned Master's Degrees from Naval Postgraduate School, Naval War College and Central Michigan University and have an Undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa. The Navy and New York Life has allowed me to continue spending time in my community mentoring children, coaching soccer and continue working as an adjunct professor. I am blessed to have four beautiful children, Andrew, Annika, Caitlyn and Sean and reside in Virginia Beach.
